But is it that simple? That old man started shooting at Nate and Russell, and shot out the tires on his truck. I think most people see this as definite proof that Nate is evil. Is this out of trust and a weird sense of kindness, or is he just confident Russell would never turn on him? Or is he just crazy?Īnd then there’s the old couple. It was obviously terrifying for Russell, but was he ever really danger of being hurt or bitten? There’s also how comfortable Nate is with repeatedly handing Russell his gun. He tries to shoot the walker and then speeds away when he can’t. Nate has his moments, like rolling down the window right next to a walker, but he also appears to maintain control.
Eddie was the threat to Nate first.įast forward to Russell’s story. Being enraged and wanting revenge after seeing your friend get murdered in front of you is not the most unreasonable feeling in the world. But his friend was just shot in the head over a misunderstanding. The way Nate chases those two is clearly meant to present him as the threat, and rightfully so. Eddie was afraid Nate’s group was going to rob and/or kill them.Eddie “might have” shot the guy on purpose, out of fear, rage, or adrenaline.There was a misunderstanding between Wyatt/Eddie and Nate’s group, apparently over someone going to the bathroom.Through the dialogue between Wyatt and Eddie, we find out three things. He is chasing after Wyatt and Eddie after Eddie has apparently shot one of his friends. True to their usual “moral grey area” style, Telltale has left a lot of his story ambiguous and unclear.Ĭhronologically, we first see Nate on Day 41. He has also shown the ability to get incredibly violent and doesn’t seem to bat an eye at killing.īut, truth be told, we don’t have a lot of details about Nate’s situation. He definitely has moments where he’s an abrasive asshole, and he seems to have at least a bit of a misogynistic streak in him.
